Edward's interests include Global Environment Modeling (Systems Modeling/SDMs), Complex Spatial Analysis, Applied GIS and Remote Sensing/Lidar Technology. He holds a double Master's Degree in GIS and Remote Sensing (with Specialization in Global Environment Modeling) from Lund University (Sweden) and Twente University (The Netherlands). Currently he leads the Landcover & Ecosystems theme. He loves hiking, watching football and bird watching. He spends his free time with his wife and daughter. He's a member of the UNV (United Nations Online Volunteers), where he has assisted in the implementation of several projects.
