Felix is an agricultural economist with over seven years progressive experience in evaluation of agricultural interventions, food security, agricultural value chain analysis and resilience building. He holds Masters of Science in Agricultural Economics from Kerala Agricultural University (India) and Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University (Kenya). Felix has strong practical skills on program planning, implementation and evaluation; an area he has previously worked on with local and international institutions in the context of agricultural randomized controlled trials, food security and climate change adaptation. Key outcomes from these activities were enhanced empirical backing and knowledge base to inform farmers productive efficiency improvements.
Felix has keen interest on precision agriculture and, the link between agriculture and geospatial related technologies to promote food security and provide farmer-driven solutions. Currently, he is the Technical Lead, GAIINS project within Servir Eastern and Southern Africa at RCMRD, with an objective of bringing stakeholders together to sustainably improve farmers risk capacity through an inclusive crop insurance product.
