Lucy has a background in Geo-informatics and Earth Observation (ITC-Netherlands). She is currently pursuing PhD research in Geospatial Engineering at the University of Nairobi. Her research is focused on pastoral land use patterns over time, to inform climate change response in Baringo County - Kenya. Lucy has worked in Kenya government, private sector and NGOs like the ICRC (Somalia) and the United Nations in Iraq and Democratic Republic of Congo. She previously worked for RCMRD as a Lecturer in the Regional Centre Training Institute and the Technical University of Kenya. She is keen on advocacy, dissemination, training, capacity building and applications in GIS, remote sensing, information management and geospatial project management. She is a member of the Africa Women in GIS and the GIS Chapter of the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya.
